WashPark in the Winter

December 11, 2007 by admin · 1 Comment

It’s winter time in WashPark now, which means what happens most in the park is cross country skiing and dogs running around loose! This is a great time to x-country ski in the park. What it really needs is a cross country ski track! The issue is getting a groomer in there to take care of things. I’m not sure that will ever happen, but it’d be nice. It would also be nice if they would groom a track for skate skiing for those of us who like to get a bit more exercise.

Of course there’s no more lawn bowling, boating and certainly not much letting your kids play on the playgrounds. And, it’s so cold down there, but not nearly cold enough to keep the ice frozen for ice skating.
