Soo, then is Ellipse Park an off-leash park??? We also just recently received a ticket from the "Denver Animal Police" in Wash Park. At first I thought they were fake security trying to get money off of poor bastards. Denver is a beautiful city, and dogs are beautiful. If you can keep your dog under control, you should be able to keep them off leash.

Denver is verrrrry dog unfriendly and has NO dog parks (I refuse to call the fenced lot by the dog pound a dog park). It is the only city of this size without a dog park. I am going to court over my 2nd ticket with my dog on a day when not a single other person was in sight anywhere (my first ticket was a "roundup" during the winter with multiple vehicles chasing dog owners and no one else using the park!) . I really doubt the founding fathers of Denver and the people who wrote the first leash law intended this result.I have seen over 200 tickets given out over the last 10 years with no warnings ever given-no discretion used!
: I read someone wants to do a test site but it begs the real issue. Dog owners are a sizeable portion of the population (at least 40%, probably more)and deserve a portion of EVERY park.There are many more dog owners than skateboarders, but Denver built a skateboard park-talk about liability!
